BELL RECÓ (1940-1950)

Because of its location and proportions, for the beauty of its gardens and declared artistic value, it is one of the stateliest mansions in Catalonia.
Started to be built in 1940, 12 years were taken for its construction. Around the year 1952 the estate is inaugurated.

The family commissions the well known painter and personal friend, Josep Mª Sert, the work that decorates the dome and the lunettes on the first floor.

After several years living in the house, the family decides to close it and it remains so for more than 20 years. Once this time passed, it is the owners’ decision to use it for social ceremonies. With this purpose the annexed dining-room is built with capacity for 490 guests. In parallel, a car park area is fitted out.
